Plan Your Visit

What to expect upon your first visit to Village Church

Getting To Know Us

The Bible calls churches "the Body of Christ." This is because it's supposed to be a place filled with diverse people who care for one another. At Village Church, you will meet people from all around the world of various ages. And they're all dedicated to loving each other as Jesus does.

We know it can be difficult and confusing to go to a new place for the first time. Just come and check us out, no strings attached! You won't hear high pressure pitches or guilt trips. Just a time of singing, teaching, communion, and hanging out.

Beginning Easter Sunday, April 4, 2021, our in-person services will resume. They will be held in the parking lot of our new location, 911 S. Taylor Street, on the South side of Harrison Street. You can walk to Buzz Cafe from our location. :)

What Can I Expect?

What's the culture like at Village Church?

We are casual and laid back. Wear jeans if you want. You are welcome no matter who you are or where you are in life and you can expect to feel welcomed as our guest.

How long is a Village Church service?

In total, our service is about 60 minutes in length. Services begin with our worship team leading the church in music - song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. Our music is a blend of praise and reflection, modern and classic, and always focused on Jesus. After the music portion of service is complete, one of our pastors will come to share a message from God's Word. We believe the Bible is powerful and transforms our lives. It's the key way God reveals who He is and what He wants us to do. Our Sunday morning services always feature a message directly from the Bible, presented in a way that shows its relevance to our everyday lives.

What about my kids?

Until the interior of our new facility is ready, we will be conducting services outside. As long as we are outside, we will not be providing children's ministry. However, there is plentiful green space for families with children to enjoy during the service.

When the work is done, and our services return indoors, you can expect the following:

We offer a fun and safe environment for children ages newborn up to 4th grade. Children are taught age-appropriate lessons about God (Father, Son, and Spirit) from the Bible. They hear stories, sing songs, do crafts, and get some time to play with each other.

Newborn - 24 months

Little ones spend time in Village Kids throughout the service.

2 years - 4th Grade

These children join the adults for a time of singing during the service and then move to Village Kids for their lesson.
